So, we have relaxed a little bit once school was out, but we were back in full swing starting on Monday. We have had a plethora of activities that have included playgroups, swim parties, swimming lessons, baseball practice, father's day planning and more. It is only Thursday!!
Swim lessons have taken up a big chunk of our time, but have been well worth it. William is digging it, but it is kind of funny watching him swim brilliantly under water but have a dickens of a time trying to swim on top of the water. He is fast under the water, but on top of the water he is as slow as molasses! He is working like a champ and trying really hard. He will get it. I have no doubt in that. Jonathan, on the other hand, had a very difficult time at the start. I have never seen my child cry so much! He was near making himself sick and shaking like a leaf whenever it was his turn. He would scream at the top of his lungs that he didn't want to do it, but the swim teacher told him he could do it and well, he had no choice, so he did it. I was kind of dreading today, but to my very big surprise, he was excited beyond excited and did more than participate in everything. He was singing, smiling, and constantly saying, "I'm ready....Let's do it, dude!". Wow! Not only did he do it, but he did it pretty darn well. Yeah! We have one more week of lessons......and will no doubt have some expert swimmers by the end of them!
Our fun little swim party this week was a sort of celebration of the end of the school year and the beginning of summer. William had a few of his buddies from his kindergarten class over for a swim and some snacks. Good times!!
This weekend will also be another fast & furious, action packed one! We have Kung Fu Panda, a birthday party, tball and baseball games and, most importantly, Father's Day! Wait until you see what the boys have planned.......... :o)
