On Day Nine the kids went to William's school to enjoy lunch and see the spirit assembly. Kate and Meg went to lunch and got to see William's class, meet his classmates and teacher. Matt, Natalie and Sally went with Chris and I to the spirit assembly that afternoon to check out all of the madness. It was also Bump Up Day. Each grade level got to follow the teachers for the next grade level up to check out the classes. So, William got to follow all of the first grade teachers to the First Grade classrooms and get a glimpse of what next year would be like. After school and a bit of relaxing, we had dinner and then headed out to Arlington for the Texas Rangers game. It was the first Major League Baseball game for the Hassalls! It was lots of fun and luckily not that hot. It has been a scorcher every day! I am beginning to think that we will not get a break from the heat until September or October!!
On Day Ten, it was more baseball. This time it was Jonathan and William's tball/baseball games. Another hot day, but luckily there was a bit of shade and an ice cream truck!! I think the crew have had enough of baseball to last them until there next journey over, if not even longer than that! ;o) Later on there was more pool time and hot dogs!! After the kids were sorted, Natalie had her first "paying" sitting job in America! Now she can say she has international experience. ;o) Jon, Sally, Chris and I went out for a lovely meal at Uncle Julio's in Dallas. A nice cap off to a great day!
