On Thursday night, we went with our friends, Julie & Jason, and their son, Colby, to watch the Wylie Fireworks. It was the first time William and Jonathan had ever seen fireworks up close. We normally catch the Richardson fireworks from our guest bedroom window. This was the first time we braved the crowds for a bit of Independence revelry! They absolutely loved it and kept screaming with excitement every time they lit up the sky. You could hear exclamations like "awesome!", "Amazing!", "super cool!" or "my favorite!!". It was a fun night indeed!
On the 4th, we had some friends and co-workers of Chris' over for a BBQ to celebrate Independence Day. There was tons of food and lots of swimming! Later on there was a Guitar Hero Competition which lead me to believe that I may have some future rock stars on my hands...or at least in reality, some boys that are musically inclined.
