As some of you may know, Chris has taken up quite a difficult project this summer that started a few weeks ago. Initially, the plan was that it would only take one weekend to "bust out", but unfortunately, there have been a few major snags. Because of that, the project has taken a likening to a monkey that Chris is trying to shake off of his back. If only I could help more than I have.....need to eat more spinach so I can gain brute strength and then tough skin so that I can handle the heat!
The snags that they've hit are major amounts of rock and a gas leak. We've had such wonderful and generous neighbors just stopping by to help Chris, as well as, our good friend Jason who has been by Chris' side throughout the whole project. Our next door neighbors on either side of us have helped out as they can considering their schedules as well. We've even had Scott drive in all the way from far Frisco to help out for a couple of days, as well as, Becky's boyfriend, Mark, coming by! Otherwise, it has been Chris on his own until a set of helping hands arrives. Poor guy! Hopefully, after this weekend, the fence project will be completed and that "monkey" will be off of his back until the next phase of the project....staining!!
So far, Chris & the guys have done an amazing job and the final product will be fantastic! :)
Here are photos of the work in progress. Beware! It's a lot of photos with more to come upon the completion of the fence.
